Faceted Rainbow Moonstone
Not the most common stone to find faceted - Rainbow Moonstone has a bright flash of colour which typically lends itself best to being cut en cabochon.
However, these facets shine with a bright blue flash in the right light.
These are not one of our regular stock items and are only available in limited sizes and shapes.
Rainbow Moonstone probably isn't the ideal stone for all jewellery - it is somewhat soft for everyday wear, measuring around 6-6.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Jewellery should be designed to protect the stone, but ideally it should be used for earrings, or a pendant. It shouldn't be used for rings as it could be scratched.
