Epidote specimens from Laurium Mine, Osceola, Michigan, USA
Small, unusual specimens of Epidote in matrix which have metamorphosed from olivine or plagioclase. These specimens often include pumpellyite and feldspar in small mineral lined vugs, as well as the potential for other minerals.
The Laurium mine was closed in 1920 and the tailings pile has been a favourite of local collectors since.
