Crandallite from Tom's Quarry, Koonunga, Light Regional Council, South Australia, Australia

A very fragile specimen of crandallite, filling in vugs of a soft, clay-like material.

This specimen comes boxed but would benefit from a new box - unfortunately, the box has a former owners label on it, stating "Crandallite and Wavellite - Tom's Phosphate Q - Ex HC 10.95". As this forms part of the provenance of the specimen I have left it.

I was not able to visually identify any areas of wavellite in this specimen so have opted to label it purely as crandallite. It is possible the specimen broke since original labelling.
