Moscona Mine

El Pontón de Solís, Corvera de Asturias, Asturias, Spain

Moscona Mine is an active fluorite mine which also produces fine mineral specimens of baryte, calcite, and fluorite.

Mindat lists 12 minerals from the site – quite a number are fluorescent, which is great for collectors of fluorescent minerals but this is really a rather well known mine amongst Spanish mineral collectors anyway for quality fluorite and baryte.

It is possible some specimens from the site will be labelled with the general locale – the Villabona mining area.
