Ljósá Quarry
Eiði, Eysturoy, Faroe Islands
Ljósá Quarry is a small road cutting on Eysturoy Island – an island with around 11500 inhabitants, the second largest of the Faroe Islands.
I wasn’t able to find out much about the quarry; Mindat suggests it was worked in 2011. Having explored a little on google maps, this appears to be the locale – a very small area indeed.

The quarry was known to produce Analcime, Apophyllite, Gyrolite and Thomsonite as well as several other minerals – whether the cutting is completely picked over now I have no idea. The material does seem to be quite uncommon online, although this is perhaps expected due to the remote nature.
