Dolní Bory
Bory, Žďár nad Sázavou District, Vysočina Region, Czech Republic
Dolní Bory refers to an area to the northwest of the village of Bory, which was formerly exploited for feldspar minerals.
Most of the minerals from this locale come from dumps from several small workings, so it is very difficult to tie any finds to a more specific dig site.
Mindat lists 97 mineral species found around this locale, including one species for which it is the type locality – Sekaninaite.
Some nice specimens of Garnet, Feldspar and Tourmaline were collected from the locality in the past; now it is reclaimed land and visiting is not allowed. Any stock from this locale is likely to be from older collections.
