Thomsonite specimens from the Lomba dos Pianos quarry, which I think roughly translates to 'hill of pianos'.
Thomsonite is a mineral group containing two members - Thomsonite-Ca and Thomsonite-Sr; when analysis hasn't been completed, we just refer to them as 'Thomsonite'.
It often occurs as radial aggregates, with fine fibrous crystals splaying outwards from the centre.
