Phacops Trilobite on matrix
An interesting fossilised Phacops trilobite on matrix rock.
Phacops is from the Middle Cambrian and had a broad geographical distribution covering most of the world. They rolled up into a protective ball as a defense mechanism, but this specimen is only partially enrolled.
Our current stock includes:
- #1 - A Moroccan specimen measuring 60x42x20.5MM approximately. It has a small repair to the front of the fossil. Not the best specimen, unfortunately - it could have used better preparation.
