Plastic mineral mounting standoffs/risers

Micro/thumbnail mineral mounting standoffs / risers made from plastic, in various colours and designs.

Standoffs are used to raise specimens off the base of boxes, to allow you to magnify the details more easily when using a microscope or similar. You can use glue or mineral putty to mount your specimens.

These are a new product for me - typically people used to use dowels or cocktail sticks, but I thought I'd offer some more decorative options.

We sell a few types currently:

• #1 - black plastic, various sizes from 3MM to 15MM tall. A mixed bag to allow for mounting various sizes of specimen. These are originally beads or spacers of some kind and have a hole. Sold as packs of 25.
• #2 - off white plastic, various sizes from 3MM to 15MM tall. A mixed bag to allow for mounting various sizes of specimen. These are originally beads or spacers of some kind and have a hole. Sold as packs of 25.
• #3 - clear ribbed plastic, 7.6MM tall x 6.9MM wide. Originally beads of some kind. Sold as packs of 25, and a very good budget option.
• #4 - mixed colours - 12.8x5.5MM. Originally beads of some kind with a very small hole. Sold as packs of 25, and a very good budget option for the smaller specimens as the head is only 5.5MM.
