Stone Age Flint Tools
Flint tools are stone age tools, primarily from the Mesolithic or Neolithic periods.
They come in a range of shapes and sizes, with a variety of uses - hand axes, scrapers, arrowheads, knives...
Our current stock all comes from Wiltshire and is presumed to be Neolithic. The majority are impossible to identify as specific tools and are perhaps best referred to as 'worked flint'. They may have been trial pieces or small broken tools; they may even be modern as they are found loose in fields etc - it is not possible to truly guarantee they are Neolithic.
We only buy Flint tools from responsible sources who check finds with their local PAS liaison.
