Fern Fossils – Pecopteris Sp.
Fossilised ferns known as Pecopteris, on a stone matrix.
These ferns date from the Carboniferous, between 360 and 299 million years ago. They are found in several places around the world, including the UK. However, some of the best specimens come from Pennsylvania, USA.
Our current stock:
- #1 – 86x46x30MM – a positive and negative split nodule with a very well preserved Pecopteris sp. fern fossil. Unfortunately, this piece is from an unknown location.
