Baryte from Eugenia Mine, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain
Small golden-brown specimens of baryte from Eugenia mine.
Now these - these are some of the most fragile baryte I've ever had the dubious pleasure of listing. I suppose I should use the word 'delicate', as it sounds better, but I find its better to be upfront with these things.
They are very nice specimens, nice to look at, but wow, fragile. They've been mounted in plastic boxes for their protection, and I'd recommend either leaving them in there or carefully remounting them in whatever type of box you use in your collection.
Unfortunately these pieces are not for those who like to handle their minerals often!

EXTREMELY delicate, but worth it – very beautiful to look at (with your eyes only, not your hands!), those blades really are paper-thin, with an almost pearly lustre. Super neat, but look for another form if you want to handle your baryte!
