Riverside Quarry
Woodland Park, Passaic County, New Jersey, USA
Riverside Quarry was a former quarry along the Passaic River of New Jersey.
I was not able to find too much information on the locale – while Mindat does list a location there is nothing visible on Google maps, so it is difficult to tell if any quarry remains on site.
There were several quarries and dumps in this area which produced prehnite, and this site appears to be one of them – along with several other minerals.
Minerals of the “Riverview Drive” quarry, Totowa, NJ, Pollinger, Mel (1975) is supposedly about the locale, but I was not able to find a copy online – or any references to it, unfortunately.
