Bonanza Mine
Bonanza and Golden Eagle Mine group, Martin Peak, Salome, La Paz County, Arizona, USA
A small mixed metal mine primarily worked for gold, silver, lead and copper. It was worked between 1888 and 1918, and then on a smaller scale until 1964.
The site is also sometimes known as Harquahala Mine.
Mindat has a good writeup on the site, and some excellent photos of the quality copper minerals that can be found at the site.
The American Pioneer & Cemetery Research Project has a writeup on the area primarily focussing on the cemetery, giving some information on the human side of mining and some photos of the mine buildings.
An environmental assessment of the site can be found on the BLM website.
