Apache Mine
Radium, Burch area, Globe Hills Mining District, Gila County, Arizona, USA
A former mixed metals mine now known for producing some of the USAs best specimens of vanadinite.
Showing the single result
This site exploited various minerals, primarily ore metals containing lead, vanadium, molybdenum, zinc, copper, silver, gold and tungsten.
The mine area is covered by several mining claims, and the workings themselves are described as extremely dangerous.
Whether the claims at this site produce specimens I’m afraid I don’t know.
The site produced some extremely gemmy vanadinite.
