Mindat lists over eighty minerals from the site, including a range of quality copper microminerals.
Collecting from the site is prohibited, although there does still seem to be some access to various adits and there is still a spoilheap at the site.
As mentioned above, there is evidence the mine was worked by the Romans and possibly even before that.
Some pages suggest the mine finally closed around 1932, others say the ‘middle of the 20th century’.
