Puy de Menoyre

Menet, Mauriac, Cantal, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France

A small lava dome near Menet, known for a range of minerals including andradite and sapphire.

The site is probably primarily of interest to micromount mineral collectors.

Mindat lists 20 mineral species from the site, most of which are micros – especially of interest are the corundum and garnet varieties from the site, but the tridymite is particularly of interest to me personally.
