The Cap Garonne mine technically has several sublocalities, so specimens from the site could be listed as any of the following (English names then French names):

  • Cap Garonne Mine / Mine du Cap Garonne
    • La Gavaresse workings / Travaux de la Gavaresse
    • North mine/ Mine Nord
    • Processing plant slag locality
    • South Mine / Mine Sud

The site is now protected, and mineral collecting is strictly prohibited.

It appears the site is being studied, as several new species have been named from the site over the past decades. Mindat lists 199 species from the site, including 16 for which it is the type locality.
