Sir Dominick Mine
Yudnamutana District, Arkaroola, Pastoral Unincorporated Area, South Australia, Australia
A historic copper mine opened in 1862.
Showing the single result
The site was worked from 1862 onwards, and eventually closed in around 1920. Further explorations in the area were undertaken in the 1960s and the 1980-90s, looking for gold.
The site is known for good pseudomorphs of malachite after azurite. It appears access to the site is dangerous and it is unlikely there will be many more specimens from the site coming onto the market.
