Soriana Quarry

Estopiñán del Castillo, Huesca, Aragon, Spain

Soriana Quarry is an aggregate quarry exploiting dolerite, primarily for roadways.

The quarry is best known amongst mineral collectors for the nice quality pieces of Aerinite, massive blue blocks of the material. Quality specimens of scolecite and diopside are found on the site too.

Mindat lists 22 minerals, with aerinite probably being the best known from the locale.
