Mindat lists over 100 mineral species as occurring at the site, with it being the type locality for two species – orthowalpurgite and sphaerobismoite.

The site is well known for uncommon minerals, including radioactive specimens of heinrichite, orthowalpurgite, uranophane, walpurgite, zeunerite, etc.

There are also numerous bismuth, copper, cobalt, and arsenic minerals found here. Obviously, Schmiedestollen is not the source locale for these minerals, but as they can’t be narrowed down to a specific mine it is the best choice for labelling.
