San Valentín Mine
La Unión, Murcia, Spain
San Valentín Mine is a large open pit mine exploited for lead, zinc, and iron ores.
Mindat lists over 30 species of mineral found at the site.
Showing the single result
Amongst the minerals found at this site are pseudocubic beudantite crystals, and good Quartz crystals.
My personal favourites from the site are the iridescent coated Goethite pieces from the locale, which have a rainbow of colours ‘painted’ across their surface – these goethites sometimes also host twinned cerussite crystals, a nice bonus.
