Precaución Mine

Cabezo de San Ginés, El Estrecho de San Ginés, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain

Precaución Mine is a former iron mine cut into the hill Cabeza de San Ginés.

The mine is famous among collectors for the quality hemimorphite and chalcophanite specimens collected there.

It was once walled off, but the wall is at least partially damaged, allowing access into the mine to some extent. Spoil heaps may be accessible around the site too.
