Lovozero Massif

Murmansk Oblast, Russia

An extremely mineral rich locale, comprised of the Layered, Eudialyte, and Poikilitic complexes.

The Lovozero massif is a large, layered underground rock formation called a laccolith.

Mindat lists a staggering 419 minerals from this site, of which it is the type locality for 111!

Obviously, this is a fine locale for collectors, especially for systemic mineral collectors.
