The name of the locale can be a little confusing – Dara means valley, so the English translation for the locale would really be ‘Pech Valley’.

Other names sometimes given to the area include Pech, Peech, Dara-i-Pech, Darrah Pech, etc.

Mindat lists 26 minerals from the area, as well as hosting numerous excellent quality photos of specimens from the pegmatite field.

The valley contains Be-Nb-Ta-Li-rich pegmatites, in a range of different forms.
