The numerous mines which have exploited this pegmatite deposit over the years have some rather confusing names – which the Mindat link below does a good job of explaining.

Essentially there have been nine shafts sunk in the area, along with numerous shallow workings; as a general rule they are now broadly referred to as ‘Cubos Mine’, ‘Cubos-Mangualde’ or ‘Cubos-Mesquitela-Mangualde’, but other names may be used to identify specimens from the site, including Cabeço do Seixo, Regada, and Rochel – as well as ‘Cubos C-34’.

Mindat lists 73 minerals from the site, including four for which it is the type locality – Jahnsite-(CaMnMn), Macraeite, Rittmannite, and Zodacite.
