Showing the single result

The total production of the mine consisted of thousands of tons of zinc, lead, silver and germanium.

After the closure in 1971, the company continued exploration research between 1975 and 1979 but never reopened.

Minerals found at the site include Anglesite, Calcite, Cerussite, Dolomite, Galena, Gypsum, and Smithsonite.

The Saint-Félix de Pallières area has been working on pollution caused by these mine sites over the years – you can read more about this in several articles below.

While in the past, large spoil heaps existed from which various minerals could be collected, it is now difficult to say whether these have been removed, covered up, or reclaimed by the ongoing anti pollution works in the area.
