African 'Turquoise' Jasper

African Turquoise Jasper is another in a long line of stones intended to trick consumers – it is not a form of Turquoise at all. It does look similar to some Turquoise, though.

It is a Jasper and is harder on the Mohs scale than Turquoise, which should be a relatively easy test for the material.
