Hemalyke (Synthetic)
Hemalyke or hematine is a synthetic form of hematite that is made by mixing small amounts of iron with ceramic materials.
Some sellers may market hemalyke as natural hematite, which can be misleading.
Hemalyke is not a natural mineral and should not be sold as such.

Being a synthetic material, it is quite difficult to find any information about Hemalyke.
Hemalyke (or hematine) is often used as a substitute for natural hematite in jewellery and other decorative items. It is often magnetic, whereas natural Hematite generally isn’t.
It is most likely a ceramic barium-strontium ferrite magnet material – the material is often magnetic; significantly more magnetic than any naturally occurring magnetite/lodestone will be.
Of course, the chemical composition may vary from piece to piece.
