Dolomite specimens from Croix-de-Pallières, Saint-Félix-de-Pallières, Le Vigan, Gard, Occitanie, France

A very long locale name indeed, Croix-de-Pallières is a group of mines opened in 1844 and eventually closed in 1971.

The mines collected lead and zinc ores, with spoil piles including calcite, dolomite, and galena.

These are quite nice specimens - mostly with good sharp crystals with minimal damage, and a very nice contrast between the white dolomite and the dark grey matrix rock. Some of them may contain small amounts of Calcite.

These pieces are rather large and could probably be trimmed to make smaller, nicer specimens with less matrix rock - I prefer to leave that to the buyers preference.
