Clearance lots of minerals
Mixed lots of rocks and minerals for collectors. These are often damaged, unidentified, or.. well, I just can't be bothered to sort them out. At least I'm honest.
Please pay careful attention to the description below, as well as the numbered photographs.
Our current stock includes.
- #1 - Five varied pieces of Quartz including
- 1x emma egg/window pebble, Brazil, white-pink Quartz
- 1x tumblestone, Ametrine, Bolivia
- 1x Smoky Amethyst with inclusions
- 1x Smoky Quartz with inclusions
- 1x clear Quartz point with inclusions.
- #2 - Six minerals, mostly tourmaline group. These are labelled in German - I can't guarantee the accuracy of the labels.
- Schorl, possibly labelled 'Dehhi' or 'Delhi', 'Indien'.
- Hardystonite and Augite, no locale.
- Chalkosin from Mina Angina, Chile.
- Dravite from Leutenbach, Germany.
- Magnesiofoitite from Andros, South Aegean, Greece
- Dravite from Pucher Shaft, Wolfgangmaßen mines (Wolfgangmaaßen mines), Wolfgangmaßen, Neustädtel, Schneeberg, Erzgebirgskreis, Saxony, Germany
- #3 - Four uncommon minerals from odd locales - Labelled in German and I can't confirm the accuracy of the labels, but the other 100+ items in the collection have been correct.
-
- UM 2 - unidentified/unknown mineral - possibly Fehrite or Ramazzoite, both found at this locale (Lichtloch 26 S (of the Schlüssel-Stollen), Mansfeld, Mansfeld-Südharz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany)
- Tourmaline var Darrellhenryite from 'Tautania'.
- Elbaite from Madagascar
- Schorl from Kozhim River Basin, Komi Republic, Russia (I am not convinced by this ID and believe this may be something else, possibly Chloritoid).
- #4 - A badly photographed mix, in which John attempts to shoot brown on brown. From top L to bottom R:
-
- Chalcopyrite
- Garnet
- Optical Calcite / iceland spar
- Obsidian, apache tear
- Smoky Quartz
- Carnelian
- Purpurite, low grade
- #5A/5B - British Fluorite - 3.8KG available. 5A = 1KG bag, 5B = 3.8KG.
Mixed British fluorite, mainly from the Weardale area. Mostly iron stained/colourless with the odd bit of purple or yellow.
- #6 - 800 grams of Topaz with Rhyolite (and it is mostly rhyolite) from Thomas Mountains, Utah, USA.
There's the odd bit showing some gemmy-ish clear or imperial topaz but very low grade material that could perhaps be considered halfway or more to rhyolite replaced.
This clearance section is new, and runs on the 'dutch auction' principle - the price will be reduced until someone purchases the lot. If you're on the fence, hit buy now - it could be reduced tomorrow but it could equally be sold by then.
