Gorgeous Septarian egg carvings with grey, yellow and brown tones. These eggs are cut from Septarian nodules, which are primarily composed of Calcite and Aragonite and often occur in fossiliferous areas.
These pieces are freeforms, and are not all cut to a specific size. The majority have some crystalline druzy on the outside, which is a pretty unique feature. This is a soft material, and unfortunately, some of the eggs do have minor surface scratches. They can be easily polished, however – toothpaste on leather would do it!
